1 3/4 cups of boiling water
1 cup of old fashioned rolled oats
1 cup of packed brown sugar
1 cup of white sugar
1 stick of butter
2 large eggs
1 3/4 cups of flour
1 tsp of baking soda
1/2 tsp of salt
1 Tsp of Cocoa
1 12 oz. pkg of chocolate chips
3/4 cup of chopped walnuts

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º

Pour boiling water over oats and let stand for about 10 minutes. Add Brown Sugar White Sugar and butter. Stir until butter is melted. Add the eggs one at a time and mix well. Sift together the dry ingredients and add to the mixture a little at a time and stirring between each
addition. Add 1/2 of the pkg of chocolate chips and mix well. Pour into well greased 13X9 cake pan and sprinkle with nuts and the remaining chocolate chips. Bake for about 40 minutes or until a broom straw inserted in the middle comes out clean.
