3 lb stew meat
6 carrots
6 potatoes
1 med. onion
6 stalks celery
1 can stewed tomatoes
24 oz V-8 juice & 1/2 cup water (or more)
6 T tapioca
3 tsp salt
2 T sugar
1/2 tsp pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat in dutch oven (drain). Place vegetables (cut up) in with meat in the order given. Sprinkle over this the tapioca, salt, sugar, pepper, Pour over this the V-8 and water. Cover with heavy lid and bake at 250º for 5 hrs. DO NOT REMOVE THE LID, EVEN TO PEEK, DURING COOKING TIME.
