Dough:
1 cup milk
1 ½ tsp active dry yeast
1 cup unsalted butter
7 cups all purpose flour
1 cup sugar
3 eggs, beaten
½ pint sour cream (or 1 cup)

Filling:
6 cups ground walnuts
⅓ cup melted butter
½ cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla
Milk (just enough to dampen filling & brush on dough)

Day 1: Dough

1. Add lukewarm milk to a mixing bowl. Add yeast and let stand until it bubbles.
2. In a separate bowl, add flour. Cut butter into flour then add salt, sugar eggs, sour cream and the yeast mixture. Knead until the dough is smooth.
3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate overnight.

Day 2: Dough & Filling

1. Mix together all filling ingredients.
2. Cut dough into 6 equal parts. Roll to about 1/8 inch thickness.
3. Brush with melted butter then add an even layer of filling on the rolled out dough.
4. Roll the dough into a long log and place on a baking sheet, seam side down. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
5. Brush with milk and bake at 350º F for 30-35 minutes.
