1 lb. ground beef
1 c. long-grain white rice (uncooked)
1 packet French onion soup mix
2 c. beef broth
1/2 c. sour cream
1 1/2 c. shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese
1/2 c. French-fried onions
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Grease a 9x13 baking dish. Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. In large mixing bowl, combine uncooked rice, soup mix and beef broth until well mixed. Stir in cooked ground beef and sour cream until fully combined. Transfer to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Top with shredded cheese and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 40 min. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 min. until cheese is bubbly. Add fried onions on top and bake for another 5 min. until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
