Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 ½ cups warm water
2 packages (or 1 ½ T) of active dry yeast
2 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp salt
¼ cup oil
4 ½ cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º F.

Stir the yeast and brown sugar into ½ cup of warm water and set aside to proof.

In a large bowl, whisk together 4 cups of flour and salt. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture. To the well, add the oil, followed by the remaining cup of warm water, then the yeast mixture. Mix to combine into a soft dough. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes, kneading in the remaining ½ cup flour if the dough is too sticky. (This may be done in a stand mixer with the dough hook attachment.) Form the dough into a ball and let rise in the bowl until double in size, covered with a damp towel.

Deflate the dough and divide in half. Press dough onto a lightly greased pizza pan. Pre-bake the crust for 5-8 minutes. Add your favorite pizza toppings and bake for an additional 15-18 minutes.

This dough may also use to make bread sticks.

Personal Notes:
The dough may need to rest for a few minutes while pressing into the pan for ease of forming the crusts.
For a thicker crust, press all of the dough onto a lightly greased jelly roll pan and pre-bake for 8-10 minutes. Add toppings and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.
**Pre-baked crust may be wrapped and frozen for up to 6 months.
