3/4 c milk
1/4 c oil or melted butter
1 egg
2 c flour
1/2 c sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 c chocolate chips
2 Tbsp course sugar for topping, if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400º and grease bottoms of 12 regular size muffin cups

In a large bowl, beat milk, oil and egg with fork or whisk until well mixed. Stir in flour, sugar, baking powder and salt (pre-mixed together) just until moistened. Fold in chocolate chips. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups. Sprinkle each with 1/2 tsp of coarse sugar.

Bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let cool and remove from pan
