1 cup yellow cornmeal

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup sugar

4 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. salt

1 cup milk

1 egg

1 cup vegetable oil or canola oil

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl.

Add remaining ingredients and stir until combined.

Pour batter into a greased 9-inch baking pan or a greased 8-inch cast iron skillet.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out
clean.

Cool in the pan for 5 to 10 minutes, then cut, serve and ENJOY!
