1/3 cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup milk
2 apples, peeled and chopped

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
2. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
3. Beat white sugar and butter until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
4. Combine flour and baking powder; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Stir until smooth.
5. Pour half the batter into the pan. Layer with half of the apples and brown sugar/cinnamon mixture. Repeat layers.
6. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
8. Whisk powdered sugar and milk for the glaze; drizzle over cooled bread. Enjoy!
