6 cups all-purpose flour
2 packages dry yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups milk
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons salt

Cornmeal to sprinkle on loaves before baking

Directions:
Directions:
Grease 2 8.5 x 4.5-inch loaf pans or spray with non-stick cooking spray

1. Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, soda and salt in a large bowl.
2. Combine milk and water in a medium saucepan and warm to 110 to 115 degrees
3. Add to dry ingredients in the bowl and stir. Stir in remaining flour to make a stiff dough.
4. Divide the dough between the 2 loaf pans and sprinkle top of dough with a small amount of cornmeal.

Set in a warm place until dough has doubled in size.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees and bake for 25 minutes

Remove from pans to cooling rack.

Slice and toast.
