1 pt. scalded milk
2 pkg. yeast
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
About 6 c. flour self- rising

Directions:
Directions:
At first add 3 cups flour to yeast that has been dissolved in 1/4 cup water. THat will be spongey. Cover and get in a warm place until doubled in size. Then add enough flour (2 or 3 cups more) to handle and knead about 10 minutes, Wash bowl, dry and let dough rise again to double. punch down and add enough flour to knead. Makes 3 loaves. Bake at 375* for 40 minutes.
