5 c. Self-rising flour, sifted
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
2 Tbsp. warm water
1 pkg. dry yeast
2 c. buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Sift flour and sugar and cut in shortening. Add yeast mixture and buttermilk to dry ingredients. Knead enough to hold together. Turn into greased bowl. Cut with biscuit cutter and bake in greased pan in a 400* oven. Until golden brown. Keeps 3 weeks in refrigerator. May brush with melted butter if desired.
