2~1/2 cup flour (plus abt. 1/4 cup extra set aside)
2 tsp. instant yeast (1 pk. / 7g)
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt

1 cup milk heated to 120-130 for instant yeast or 110-120 for active dry yeast
2 TBSP veg oil
1 large egg
1 beaten egg for egg wash

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar and salt, stirring well to distribute everything.

2. Pour in warm milk, followed by veg oil and beaten egg. Mix vigorously by hand or with a mixer for about 2 mins until a sticky batter forms.

3. Add 1/4 cup of additional flour until dough begins to for a soft, shaggy mass that pulls away from the sides of bowl.

4. Transfer dough to a floured surface for 5 mins or 50 turns out until smooth if using mixer use dough hook and knead for 3 mins

5. Cover dough and let rest for 10 mins

6. Divide into 8 pieces flatten each into 4 by 6 in rectangles roll tightly from the long side into a log shape and tuck ends to form a hotdog bun shape.

7. Let rise Place the buns seam side down on parchment paper. cover let rise 30 mins

8. Apply egg wash and bake in preheated oven @ 375 brush with egg wash.

9. Bake 12 mins let cool 10 mins before slicing
