Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Makes 8 good sized bowl burgers. Allow about 2hrs ‘chill time’ in fridge. This helps the beef bowl hold its shape while grilling about 30-45 minutes, depending on desired medium rare to well done.

Prepare a baking sheet with foil.
Clean a can of beer or soda with soap and water. This will be your tool to shape the hamburger into a bowl shape.
Hamburger buns

2lbs hamburger meat at 85% lean for flavor and ability to hold the ‘bowl’ shape.
2tsp each salt and pepper
1 T garlic powder
1/2 cup ranch dressing, maybe a tad more if needed

Filling: chop and cook
8 slices bacon, drained onto a paper towel and cooled
8oz cleaned fresh mushrooms, cooled

Bowl fillings -
8 green onions, white and green parts, chopped
jarred sliced jalapeńos, chopped. Amount depends on your heat preference

Shred 1 1/2 cups cheeses of your choice. I use cheddar
1/2 cup or so Ranch dressing. You can use other creamy dressings as well

Mix all the stuffing ingredients into a large bowl and place in fridge to stay cold. Taste for proper seasoning. Add more if needed.

Directions:
Directions:
Using a large mixing bowl and your hands break up the hamburger meat.
Add the spices
Form hamburger into equal sized balls. Using the can, push down into the hamburger ball slowly and begin to form the meat around the can and into a ‘bowl’. Set bowl on the cookie sheet. Continue until all 8 bowls are made.

Take stuffing out of the fridge and using your hands begin to fill the hamburger bowls to slightly rounded.

Place onto a medium hot grill. Using a meat thermometer check the bowls every 10 minutes or so for the proper temperature of medium to done. Rare temp will probably not work for these bowls as they could fall apart.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
When choosing your can for shaping the meat, remember the bottom of the can will not be flat. I usually use my finger to level out the meat so it will cook evenly. These burgers also do well baked in a 375 degree oven.

I eat my burger without a top bun so I can use a fork. John does use the top bun as his bite is big enough to handle the chewing. Enjoy!
