1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
2 eggs
6 tbs. dark corn syrup
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
5 1/2 - 6 c. all purpose flour
Raspberry jam

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix the sugar, butter, eggs, syrup and vanilla in a large bowl, until creamy. Sir in the 2 tsp. of baking soda and then start adding the flour. Add sufficient flour to make a soft dough that can be rolled out. Roll out the dough and cute with a round cookie cutter. Half of the cookies should have a small center hole cut out with a small cookie cutter. place the cookies on a large greased cookie sheet or on parchment paper, if preferred. Bake about 8 - 10 minutes. Remove, and set on parchment paper to cool. When cool, spread raspberry jam on the bottom half of the cookie and place the second cookie (with the center cutout) on top. Mom often made around Christmas and they didn't last long!
