5 pints of blackberries makes 5 cups of juice
3 3/4 cups of juice
4 1/2 cups sugar

Crush berries

1. Prepare lids and jars sterilized in hot water.
2. Prepare fruit as directed
3. Place 3 layers of damp cheesecloth. Pour prepared fruit into cheesecloth. Tie cheesecloth closed. Hang and let drip into bowl until dripping stops. Press gently.
4. Measure exact amount of prepared juice into a 6-8 saucepan. (If necessary, add 1/2 cup water to get exact of prepared juice as needed). Stir in lemon juice and water (if required) as indicated. Proceed with step 5 which is. put juice, sure gel, lemon juice in pot. Bring to a rolling boil. then add sugar and bring to a rolling boil and let boil for 90 seconds. Take off heat and skim the foam off the juice and pour into jars. Wipe off the top of the jars and put lid and ring on.
