One cup briar, rabbit molasses
2 1/2 cups of water
1 tablespoon baking soda
4 cups of flour
1/2 cup Crisco oil
1 pound of light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Boil water and add to the molasses and baking soda. Stir, set aside. Mix the remaining for ingredients by hand until it forms crumbs. Take one cup of crumbs and set aside to be sprinkled on top of cake. Mix the rest of the crumbs with the liquid and bake and greased 9 x 13“ pan. Bake it 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.
