Ingredients:
1 large head cabbage - quartered, cored, and shredded
2 yellow onions, sliced paper thin
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup honey
2 tsp. firmly packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp. table salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 cup bland oil
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. celery seeds

Directions:
Directions:
Place the cabbage in a very large bowl and arrange the onions sliced on top of the cabbage. Sprinkle with the sugar and drizzle with the honey, without stirring.

Combine the brown sugar, salt, dry mustard, oil, vinegar, and celery seed in a small saucepan and ring to a boil. Pour over the cabbage and onions. Stir everything together and let sit a least 4 hours.

As the slaw marinates, its apparent volume will shrink by a least half. Transfer to a glass serving dish and store, covered, in the refrigerator. It will keep 2 weeks.
