8 Tbsps. unsalted butter
½ cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
3 Tbsps. white corn syrup
¼ tsp. table salt
½ cup chopped, toasted pecans
2 x 4 oz. semi-sweet or dark chocolate

Directions:
In medium saucepan place butter and water on medium high heat. Add sugar, corn syrup and table salt. Let it come to a boil till sugar is dissolved and turns a pale golden color about 10-14 minutes. Turn down heat, swirl pan and take temperature (350º- 360º). Remove from heat and add toasted pecans. Transfer to foil lined pan and let cool about 30 minutes at room temperature. Melt chocolate in microwave at half power until ⅔ melted. Stir so no hot spots. Pour in remainder of chocolate and stir until smooth. Spread over toffee and sprinkle with pecans on top. Let set 15 minutes. Lift out of pan and remove foil. Melt another 4 oz. of semi sweet chocolate and spread over toffee and sprinkle with remaining pecans. Let set another 15 minutes then break into squares.
