1 lb. box brown sugar
¾ cup evaporated milk
½ tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter
1½ cups pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Combine brown sugar, milk, and salt in saucepan. Cook over medium heat stirring continuously until mixture comes to a boil. Continue cooking stirring occasionally until mixture reaches 234°. Remove from heat and stir in butter and pecans. Cool on rack 5 minutes. With a wooden spoon, rapidly stir mixture until it thickens and begins to coat pecans, 2-3 minutes. Drop mixture by teaspoon onto waxed paper lined baking sheets. Makes 18 (3 inch) patties
