1 cup of cornstarch
1 cup of shaving cream (foam, not gel)
Food coloring (optional)
Mixing bowl
Spoon or spatula
Something to cover your work space or table.

Directions:
Directions:
1. Begin by gathering all the ingredients and ensuring your workspace is clean and ready for some playful mess.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of cornstarch and 1 cup of shaving cream. Use a spoon or spatula to gently fold the ingredients together.
3. As you mix, observe the texture of the playdough. It should become soft and pliable, with a fluffy consistency. Adjust the ratio of cornstarch or shaving cream as needed to achieve the desired texture.
Optional: If you want to add some vibrant colors to your playdough, now is the time!
4. Add a few drops of food coloring to the mixture and continue folding until the color is evenly distributed. Feel free to experiment with different shades or create a rainbow of hues.
5. Encourage your child to join in on the fun! Let them explore the playdough’s texture with their hands, squishing and shaping it to their heart’s content. They can roll it into balls, flatten it with their palms, or use cookie cutters to create various shapes.
6. Watch as their imagination takes flight. The sensory experience of the soft and malleable playdough combined with the vibrant colors will inspire endless possibilities. They can build imaginary worlds, create sculptures, or even practice letter formation and number recognition.
7. Remember to store the playdough in an airtight container or a zip-lock bag when playtime is over. Properly stored, it can be enjoyed again and again.
