Directions: |
Directions:1. Place cubed beef into wide mouth jars (not too full - fill ¾ of the way). 2. ½ tsp sea salt and sprinkle black pepper to the top of each jar. 3. Use wet paper towel to clean the rim of each jar. 4. Place sealer and canning ring on each jar. 5. Place jars upright into the oven on a cookie sheet (do not let the jars touch) and place the rack on the second to bottom lowest rack of the oven. 6. Once jars are in the oven and oven door is shut, set the oven temperature for 250 degrees F for 6 hours. Do NOT OPEN the OVEN DOOR. 7. After 6 hours, turn the oven off and let the jars sit in the cooling oven for 1 hour (can leave in the oven turned off overnight as needed). 8. Remove the jars from the oven after the 1 hour wait time and place on wood cutting board (do not place on plastic cutting board as it may melt plastic) to cool. 9. The next day you can remove the rings and wash the jars.
