2 C. Sugar
4 Eggs, (beaten)
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
2 tsp. Coconut Extract
1 C. Oil
3 C. All Purpose Flour
1 C. Buttermilk
1 C. chopped Black Walnuts
1 C. Flaked Coconut

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine sugar, oil and eggs, beat well. Combine all dry ingredients and add to mixture, alternating with the four and buttermilk. Beat after each addition. Stir in nuts, coconut and flavoring. Pour batter into a well greased and floured 10 in. Tube pan. Bake for 1 hour and 5 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean. Add the hot syrup when cake comes out of oven.

2 TBSP. Butter
1/2 C. Water
1 tsp. Coconut Extract

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, butter and water in a heavy saucepan. Bring to boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add flavoring. Pour over hot cake and let cake stand in the tube pan to absorb syrup. When cake is completely cooled, remove from tube pan and wrap cake well or store in air-tight container. Cake will be very moist
