1/4 lb ground beef
3/4 cup chopped onion
2 Tbsp oil
1 lb canned diced tomatoes
12 oz tomato paste
2 cups water
1 Tbsp parsley
2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp oregano
8 oz lasagna noodles
8 oz shredded mozzarella
1 cup grated parmesan
1 lb ricotta

Directions:
Directions:
In a large heavy pan, brown the beef and onion in oil.
Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, water, parsley, salt, sugar, garlic powder, pepper, and oregano.
Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.
Cook the lasagna as directed and drain.
Spread 1 cup sauce into the bottom of a 13x9x2-inch pan.
Alternate layers of lasagna, sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, then parmesan, ending with the parmesan.
Bake at 350º for 40 - 50 minutes.
