8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1/3 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1 tube crescent rolls
1/2 cup strawberries, sliced

For the Icing:
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
3 Tbsp heavy cream

Directions:
Cream together the cream cheese and sugar, then mix in the egg yolks, vanilla, and salt.
Unroll the crescent rolls into a long rectangle onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, sealing the perforations.
Spread the filling down the center of the dough, about 3-inches wide, then arrange the strawberries over the filling.
Cut 1/2-inch strips up one side of the dough, then repeat on the other side.
Alternate pulling the strips of dough from each side towards the middle to form a braid, tucking the extra end pieces under.
Place the baking sheet on the middle oven rack and bake at 375º until the pastry is golden and the filling is cooked, about 20 minutes.

For the Icing:
Whisk together the sugar and cream, drizzle over the pastry, and allow 15 minutes for the icing to set.
