Ingredients:
1 14 oz. can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 9 in. unbaked deep pie shell
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. light corn syrup
1 c. sugar
2 TBSP. butter melted

1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
pecan halves (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large heavy duty pot fill with water and bring to boil. Remove paper label from condensed milk can. Immerse the unopened can of condensed milk into the boiling water. Reduce heat to medium and cover pot with lid. Cook for 3 hours, occasionally checking pot to insure water doesn't boil dry. Remove can with tongs and place in freezer for 1 hour.
In mixing bowl, combine slightly beaten eggs with syrup, sugar, butter, vanilla and salt. (note) If pecans are salted, omit adding salt to recipe. Mix well. Stir in pecans and pour mixture into unbaked pie shell. Bake for 50-55 min. Pie is done when fork inserted in center comes out clean. Cool pie for 1 hour and spread the carmelized can of condensed milk on top of the pie. Garnish with pecan halves.
