1 jar Rinaldi tomato and basil pasta sauce, warmed
6 plum tomatoes, cored, seeded and cut into 1/2-inch slices
8 oz shredded mozzarella
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
3 Tbsp olive oil
1 lb penne
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Layer the tomato slices on a baking sheet and drizzle with oil.
Season with salt and pepper, then bake at 400º for 10 minutes, then cool.
Cook the penne according to package directions; drain.
Spread half of the pasta in a 9x13-inch baking dish and top with half of the sauce.
Layer with half of the tomatoes, half of the mozzarella, and half of the basil.
Repeat the layers and bake for 10 - 15 minutes, until heated through.
