5 1/2 lbs, Apples, peeled & cored, chopped or cut thin
4 Cups Sugar
2 tbs Cinnamon
1 tsp Ginger
1/4 tsp Salt
1 lbs butter>> Do NOT SUBSTITUTE!!

Directions:
Directions:
Pour fruit in a crok pot.
Pour all other ingredients over apples and cook over high heat for an hour covered.
Reduce heat and cook until thickened and brown (10-12 hours).
Uncover and cook for an hour, taste and adjust seasoning adding if necessary including salt, cool.
spoon mixture into sterile jars, can, freeze.
Give give away or keep.
