1 large onion, sliced
2 Tbsp melted butter
1/4 cup hot water
6 slices beef or veal liver, 1/2-inch thick
2 Tbsp flour, seasoned with salt and pepper
1 Tbsp chopped parsley
2 tsp thyme
2 Tbsp thick chili sauce
2 Tbsp butter, cut into small cubes
1 Tbsp brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Arrange the onion in the bottom of a casserole dish and pour over the melted butter and water,
Cover and bake at 350º for 30 minutes.
Dredge the liver in the flour and arrange over the onions.
Sprinkle with the parsley and thyme, then dot with the chili sauce and butter cubes.
Sprinkle with the brown sugar and return to oven, covered, for 30 minutes more.
