1/2 cup pecan halves or pieces
1/4 cup sugar
6 cups romaine lettuce
1 - 2 small apples, diced
1/2 cup gorgonzola cheese
Honey Red Wine Vinaigrette

Directions:
Directions:
Pour the sugar into a small skillet and pour the pecans over.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar melts and turns a caramel color.
If the sugar is clumping instead of melting, add 1 Tbsp water.
Continue to stir until the pecans are coated with the melted sugar, then turn out onto waxed paper to cool.
Once cooled, break the pecans into pieces.
Place the lettuce into the salad bowl and add the apples, cheese, and pecans.
Toss with Honey Red Wine Vinaigrette and serve.
