"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups light brown sugar
1 cup soy sauce
1 Tbsp sesame seed oil
1/3 tsp crushed red pepper
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 lb pork baby back ribs
2-inch piece of peeled, fresh ginger, minced
3 green onions, sliced thin

Directions:
Directions:
Whisk together the sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, crushed red pepper, garlic, ginger, and 1/4 cup water.
Add the ribs and toss to coat.
Cover and marinate for at least 1 hour at room temperature, or refrigerate overnight, turning occasionally to coat.
Arrange the ribs, curved side up, on a rack set over a rimmed, foil-lined baking sheet and roast at 450º for 20 minutes.
Heat the marinade in a 2-quart saucepan over medium-high heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thick and syrupy, about 20 minutes.
Flip the ribs and cook, basting frequently with the marinade, until the ribs are browned, glazed, and tender, 15 - 20 minutes.
Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with the green onions.
