¼ to ½ cup cooking oil
2 cups yellow corn meal
1½ cups water
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
1. Heat oil preferably in a heavy cast iron skillet or dutch oven with a cover over medium heat.
2. In a bowl add corn meal, water and salt mix well.
3. Add mixture to hot oil, lower heat stir well and cover.
4. Stir often about every two minutes, to prevent sticking and burning.
5. Cook for about 30 minutes or until done.
Serve in a bowl with milk and butter sweeten with syrup or sugar.
