Preheat Oven to 350°

Grease a 9 x 13 Baking Pan and set aside

2 cups Flour
1/4 tsp. Salt


Place the flour and salt in a food processor pulse until blended.

1 cup Butter, cold
4 to 5 Tbls. Ice Water


Add butter, pulse until the butter is the size of peas. While pulsing, add just enough ice water to form moist crumbs. Press the dough mixture onto the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake until the crust edges are lightly browned, 20-25 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.

8 cups Tart apples thinly sliced and pealed about 8 medium
1 cup Sugar
2 tsps. Cinnamon


In a large bowl combine the above 3 ingredients, toss to coat. Spoon over crust.

1 cup Flour
1/2 cup Butter, cold
1 cup Sugar


Place the above 3 ingredients in the food processor, pulse until coarse crumbs form. Sprinkle over apples. Bake until golden brown and the apples are tender for 60-70 minutes. Cool kuchen completely on a wire rack. Cut into bars.
