1 c. Granulated sugar
1 c. Packed Brown sugar
1 c. Butter or margarine softened
1 T. Molasses
2 tsp. Maple extract
2 medium eggs
2 c. Flour (1/4 c. Added for high altitude)
2 tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Salt
2 c. Rolled oats
2 c. Crisp rice cereal

Preheat oven to 350º. In a large bowl beat together sugars and butter or margarine until light and fluffy. Add molasses, maple extract and eggs; blend well. Sift together flour, (lightly spoon flour into measuring cup)baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Mix at medium speed until well blended.Stir in oats and cereal. Drop by heaping teaspoon on cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 8-12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 2 minutes then move to cooling rack.
