2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
1½ Tsp. Baking Powder
1 Cup Butter (2 Sticks) (room temperature)
1 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Cup Brown Sugar (packed)
2 Eggs (room temperature)
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
1¼ Cups Peanut Butter
1¾ + ¼ Cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (divided)

Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla and peanut butter until smooth. Add flour mixture until just combined. Fold in 1¾ cups of chips.

Spread the dough evenly in prepared pan. Sprinkle with remaining ¼ cup chips evenly over batter and slightly press into the dough.

Bake 20-25 minutes or until done. Rotate the pan ½ turn at halfway point of baking. A toothpick inserted into the middle will come out clean.

Remove from oven and place on wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares. Store in airtight container.


Variation:

Substitute with butterscotch chips, peanut butter chips, or white chocolate chips.
