1-7/8 Sticks of Butter (melted) (save remaining unmelted ⅛ stick to coat pan)
1½ Cups Granulated Sugar
2 Eggs (room temperature)
1 Tbsp. Vanilla Extract
¾ Cup Milk Chocolate Chips (melted)
1⅛ Cups All-purpose Flour
⅓ Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (sifted)
¾ Tsp. Salt
1½ Cups Milk Chocolate Chips

Preheat oven to 350°F. Use butter to coat 9x13 inch baking pan. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, pour the melted butter. Add sugar and whisk by hand until smooth (30 seconds). Add eggs and vanilla extract and whisk for 1 minute.

Melt ¾ cup of chips in microwave on High for 30 seconds. Stir and microwave in 15 second increments (stirring each time). Pour into egg mixture until smooth.

Using a rubber spatula, stir in flour, cocoa powder and salt; until just combined. Stir in 1½ cups of chips.

Pour this mixture into the prepared baking pan; spread evenly.

Bake 30 minutes; rotating pan ½ turn at halfway point of baking. Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.


Variations:

Add ¾ cups of chopped pecans or walnuts.
Substitute chocolate chunks or white chocolate chips.
