3/4 cup shortening
3 tsp. vanilla
1½ cups sugar
2 eggs, separated
4 cups sifted flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400º. Cream shortening, vanilla, and sugar until light and fluffy. Continue creaming while adding well beaten eggs slowly. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together and add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Drop small portions of mixture on greased baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes.
