3½ cups vanilla wafer crumbs (12 oz)
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/3 cup light or dark rum
1/3 cup light or dark corn syrup

Directions:
Directions:
Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl. Stir in rum and corn syrup until well blended. Shape into 1" balls. Roll in confectioner's sugar. Store in lightly covered container.

"Care for a cocoa rum ball?" (Lynne's college roommate, Amy, asked Stephen this when we were in college and she was serving these cookies to him. She tripped, sending the rumballs flying all over Stephen). We still laugh about it to this day.
