4 cups of flour ( 2 brown 2 white)
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of golden syrup
1 tsp bicarbonate soda
2 tsps baking powder
1 pint of milk
1/2 lb chopped dates

Directions:

Mix everything together in a large bowl. Will be a very sloppy mixture

Makes 2 x loaf tins

Cook for 1.5 hours 150 degrees
