2 1/4 cups sugar
3/4 cups Pet evaporated milk
1/4 cups butter
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup chocolate morsels
1. tsp vanilla
1 cup nuts (optional)

Directions:
Cook, stirring constantly over medium heat to a boil (mixture will be bubbling all over top). Boil and stir 5 minutes more. Important to use a timer.

Take off heat. Stir in chocolate morsels until completely melted.

Sit in vanilla and nuts (if desired).

Spread in a buttered 8 inch square pan. Cool. Cut into 30 pieces.

You can make Butterscotch Fudge - use 1 cup butterscotch morsels instead of chocolate chip.
