2 cups raisins
3 cups boiling water
Add raisins to water and boil until only 1 cup of water remains

1 cup butter
3 eggs
1½ cup sugar
3½ cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, add eggs and sugar. Combine dry ingredients and add to butter mixture. Add raisins and the 1 cup of water left after boiling.
Drop on greased cookie sheets and bake at 375ºF for 10 minutes.
