2 c sugar
1 c water
2 c orange juice
2 T lemon juice
1 c thin cream scalded
2 beaten egg yolks
2 c heavy cream
1/4 c candied orange peel or grated rind of 1 orange
Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar and water 8 minutes; add orange and lemon juice. Slowly add thin cream to egg yolks and cook in double boiler until thick, stirring constantly. Cool and add to first mixture. Add heavy cream. Freeze in ice cream freezer until crank turns hard. Remove dasher; add orange peel mix thoroughly and pack.
