1 c crisco or shortening
2 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 ¾ c flour
1 tsp soda
½ tsp cream of tartar
¾ tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar; add eggs. Sift dry ingredients together. Form into rolls and chill. Slice thin and bake in 400F oven.
