4 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 cup butter softened
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg; set aside.

In large bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg, vanilla, and sour cream until well blended. Stir in the sifted dry ingredients. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill overnight.

Preheat oven to 375º. On lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Place cookies 1-1/2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
