1 cup butter or oleo (2 sticks)
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 cup salad oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
5 cups flour (unshifted)
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, salad oil, salt and vanilla. Sift flour, baking soda, cream of tartar together, add to first mixture. Mix until smooth. Drop onto baking sheet with teaspoon or roll in balls and then in roll in sugar. Press down with fork (not to flat) Bake 10 minutes in 350º oven. I rolled mine in balls. A half recipe makes 3 dozen cookies
