1 cup butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 egg
2 1/2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup candied fruit
1 cup candied cherries, green and red make pretty cookies

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar...add egg...add flour and fruit and nuts. Form into rolls, wrap in plastic wrap, and freeze.Slice into 1/8 inch slices. Bake at 375 for 6-10 minutes. These are prettier taken out of oven before brown. The fruit shows up better in the lighter color cookies.
