3¼ c. Crushed strawberries. (Fresh or frozen)
¼ c. Lemon juice
4½ c. Sugar
1 c. Karo Sugar
1 box MPC or Sure gel Pectin

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and top strawberries.
Mash and measure 3½ c. strawberries
Put into large pan. Add pectin and stir well until combined.
Let set in pan for 30 minutes.
Next add Karo syrup and stir well. (This keeps jam from turning to sugar)
Slowly add sugar and stir constantly until no more gritty feeling
It should start to thicken.
Pour into containers and refrigerate.
Makes 3½ pints
Can be stored in freezer for 1 year. Refrigerator for 3 months
If it lasts that long!
