2 c. flour
1 ½ c. sugar
6 tbsp. cocoa
4 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
1 c. cold milk
4 tbls. cooking oil
2 tsp. vanilla


½ c. cocoa
2 c. light brown sugar
3 ½ c. hot water

Heat oven to 350º
Grease a 9x13-inch pan

Sift together flour, sugar, 6 tbls. cocoa, baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl.
Add milk, oil and vanilla.
Blend 1 minute.
Pour mixture into prepared pan.

Combine 1/2 c. cocoa and brown sugar.
Sprinkle over batter.
Pour hot water evenly over all.

Bake for 45 minutes.
