¾ c shortening
½ c sugar
1 - 3oz package jello (any flavor)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 ½ c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 400º. Cream shortening with sugar and jello. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and mix in. Roll dough into 1 inch balls. Place 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten cookies with the bottom of a glass that has been buttered and dipped in sugar. Bake 6 to 8 min. Don't let the edges get brown or the cookies become hard. Makes 4 dozen.
