2 C. white sugar
1 1/2-3/4 C. white Caro syrup
2 C. cream or half and half
1 C. butter
1 t. vanilla
1 C. chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar, Caro, 1 cup of cream and butter in a heavy 3 qt pot on medium. Once it comes to a good boil, add rest of cream. Boil for a good half hour until firm ball stage (239 degrees). Remove from heat, add vanilla and nuts. Pour evenly into a well buttered 8x12 pan. Cut once partially cool.
