1 cut up fryer chicken, set aside
½ cup cooking oil
⅔ cup flour
1 tsp. Granulated garlic
1 tsp. Onion powder
1 tsp. Oregano flakes
1 T. Parsley flakes
2 cups baking mix(Bisquick)
⅔ cup milk
10 cups water
5 chicken bouillon cubes
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350º. In an electric skillet, preheat oil to 325º. Mix together flour and seasonings. Dredge chicken pieces on each side in flour mixture. Place in heated oil and brown lightly on both sides. Remove to large sprayed baking sheet. Bake in oven while making dumplings.

DUMPLINGS: In medium bowl mix baking mix and milk until soft dough forms. Preheat electric skillet with drippings to 400º. Add water and bouillon. Heat to boiling. Drop dumpling dough by spoonfuls into the boiling water, reduce heat to simmer, cook for 10 minutes. Cover and cook for another 10 minutes. Remove from pan and serve with fried chicken from oven. Serves 4 to 6.
* dumplings will swell, so drop in smaller amounts.
